 What a Google wants |
| You want Google to think that your site is good. Very Good. A very good site will have lots of unique content. New text will be posted often on this site. AND... Other sites will reference you on their site. They will be taking about you on their site. Google says, "Yeah, that's a good site for that subject. Sites keep referencing it and when I send customers there, they tend to stay there." Google checks a lot of things, but link popularity is the bread and butter. |

| Google needs to find your site. They are constantly scouring the web, watching for changes and making note of every link it finds. If you are a new site, it will add you to the list, and that is how they find you. Links. They follow links from other sites it's checking. The more it starts hearing about you the more it pays attention to you.
