How it works

Citation work is not one task, it is five. Most of the cost of a bad citation vendor comes from skipping the last two: nobody checks the existing listings for accuracy, and nobody comes back after the build to see what changed.

01

Scan

Before we touch anything, we look at what already exists for your business across directories, aggregators, and the sites that pull from them. This tells us which listings are correct, which are wrong, which are missing, and which are duplicated.

02

Build

We create the listings that do not exist yet. Each submission goes out at a controlled pace in batches, never as a single bulk blast, because directories treat a sudden flood of submissions as a red flag on the account. Every listing we build gets a proof screenshot showing the live page, so you can see exactly what went out under your business name.

03

Verify

Name, address, and phone number get checked against your source of truth on every listing, not just the ones we built. If an existing listing has an old address, a swapped digit in the phone number, or a business name that does not match, we repair it in place instead of building a second, conflicting record.

04

Monitor

Once the build is complete, we keep watching. Listings drift over time: aggregators overwrite fields, directories restructure, ownership changes hands. We check on your listings on an ongoing basis rather than treating the initial build as the end of the engagement.

05

Replace

When monitoring catches a listing that has disappeared, been merged into another record, or been altered without your input, we rebuild or restore it as part of the ongoing service. You do not have to notice the problem first and file a request.

What we mean by NAP consistency

NAP stands for name, address, phone number. Search engines and directories use it to decide whether different listings across the web describe the same business. When the details do not match exactly (a suite number dropped here, an old phone number surviving there) each mismatch is a small signal working against you. Our verify step exists specifically to find and close those gaps on listings we did not originally build, not only the ones we did.

Data aggregators

Beyond individual directories, a handful of data aggregators feed business information into a much wider network of maps, apps, and voice assistants. A quote can include submission to these as an option, since one correct record at an aggregator can carry your information into places you would never submit to directly.

Data AxleFeeds a wide network of directories, GPS systems, and search tools.
Neustar LocalezeA primary source many voice assistants and in-car systems pull from.
FoursquarePowers location data behind apps you have never heard of.
YP NetworkThe Yellow Pages descendants still crawled by directory sites.
GPS NetworkNavigation and mapping providers that need your address to match everywhere.
